MY ENVIRONMENT MY RESPONSIBILITY

 MY ENVIRONMENT MY RESPONSIBILITY

Just a few months ago, there was a thick forest covering a large mass of land, but today, hardly a single tree can be spotted.
whoever stayed or at least had a picture of Moi University and its environs will be shocked to learn today that almost all of the indigenous tree species behind the School of Arts have been cut down for reason well known to whoever did it.

Where's the Kenyan government and a lot of environmental NGOs are busy advocating for citizens to plant more and more trees, an institution which is supposed to be offering enough skills on not only how to plant new trees, but also should be educating people on how to take of the already endangered indigenous species is the one now destroying our environment.

At this level every person knows very well the consequences that will come with environmental pollution. Talk of global warming, prolonged droughts, interfering with water sheds among others are the consequences which are going to be a big threat to the coming generations.

Sustainability helps us accomplish our work in a manner that is socially responsible, economically sound, and protective of the environment. All is not lost as the best time to bring change about the world is now, and will always begin with me and you.

So, summed up in a simple phrase; clean up the past, control current operations, and create a sustainable future. Yes we can!!! Won't we?!!
