According to Sosian Chief Gilbert Songok, the fierce fire started at around 7.30pm.

Efforts by the locals together with the county firefighters to contain the fire were fruitless as nothing was salvaged from the dormitories.

"We received reports of the fire at around 7.30pm and immediately notified the fire department even as locals tried to battle the fierce fire," noted Mr Songok.

"Despite the quick arrival of firefighters we couldn't save anything as the fire spread quickly," he added.
The cause of the fire remains unknown even as the number of schools that have witnessed fire incidences increases by day.

This was the forth incident to be reported in Uasin Gishu following similar incidences at Leseru Boys in Kaplelach, St. Peters High School Natwana in Moisbridge and Ngara Falls Secondary School.
