Training for Belgium’s friendly football match against Portugal was
called off on Tuesday following the deadly explosions that rocked
Brussels airport and metro.
“All our thoughts at this moment are
with the victims (of the blasts). Football is not the priority today.
Training cancelled,” the Belgian Football Federation posted on its
Twitter account.
Tuesday's violence came just days after investigators closed in on
Europe's most wanted man, Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam, who was
hiding out in a Brussels suburb.
